It’s still invite-only – got my invite from a friend who’s a premium member, and I’ve been enjoying it!! It’s a bit unintuitive in a few places, so it helps if you know someone who’s poked around on there and can help you out if you’re confused. There’s a lot of little things like, where it says “[number] Favourites” over on the left hand side of a character, you click on that to favourite the character – stuff where thERE’S NOTHING that would lead you to expect that, but once you do it by accident the first time it’s not confusing anymore. Also, favouriting your own character makes them a featured character. I DONT KNOW…. HOW U FIGURE THAT OUT BUT ITS SIMPLE ONCE YOU DO. You have to do some poking around sometimes!

But that aside, the main thing Toyhou.se is for is just, storing and displaying characters. If you’re into OC trading/selling and adoptables and all those sorts of things, it’s got a lot of features for that, but I’m having a good time just, making a lil collection of all my creations whom I love? There’s a few folks giving out free templates that you can use or edit to make your characters’ profiles snazzier. YOU CAN GET VERY CARRIED AWAY IF YOU WANNA, I spent…. an embarrassingly long time on Turing’s page. xD

There’s a bunch of neat extra features too! You can make “tabs” on a character for AU versions (Turing has two AU versions if you wanna see an example),

you can comment on things in-character or out-of-character, you can make “links” between two characters and write up the characters’ thoughts on each other

It’s super easy to credit other people, too – there’s a bunch of my art that’s been uploaded on the site by others for their characters, and all you have to do is say it’s by Shazzbaa in the credit section, and it becomes attached to me!! Or, if someone’s not on the site, there’s a place where you can put in their URL to credit them.

I haven’t poked around in the forums too much – there’s a bunch of like, forum games and such to show off your OCs or comment on the OC above you and all that kind of thing, and one of my friends has been having a good time playing around there.

TL;DR, I’m mostly just using it as a Character Gallery/Info Repository but I’m having a really good time with it! If you have access to a Toyhou.se invite and think it sounds like fun then I say GO FOR IT
