Okay this is a weird one. I realised in recent TNH updates, that despite loving the frazzled-and-sleep-deprived aesthetic, I’ve never allowed myself to give my own caricatures bags under the eyes just because they aren’t really there. It suddenly struck me as weird that I’m so strict when I draw myself; I strive to base my self-portraits in reality and downplay things that I wish were true but aren’t. Like it would be some kind of sin to draw myself the way I want to and I have to be BETTER THAN THAT or something? I don’t think I’ve ever drawn an idealised cartoon of myself. So tonight I did. Where “idealised” means whatever the heck I want, obviously. These are the things I love about myself exaggerated through the roof, and I have no idea how much it looks like me anymore but… it was sort of awesome to let myself do it. :3
